Detox Day 2…

So today i start with my day 2 cleanse. I have to be honest and say that i only had 2 juices yesterday. We went to Santa Monica with some friends  from Honduras and we started walking down the Promenade Mall and stopped in a Italian restaurant for dinner. Since they didn’t have any juices and i didn’t want to seem like a party pooper, i aimed towards the salad bar. Its practically the same thing.
Anyways, for breakfast Dan and i had another green juice. This one had kale, celery, green apple, green grapes and mint and it was delicious. Although, i wish i would have added another apple so i couldnt taste the celery as much but the mint gave it a nice touch and camouflaged the taste a little bit.
For lunch i had a cucumber ginger juice. DELISH! i couldn’t taste the spinach and since i used all my mint for my first one i added honey. If you are vegan you can add maple syrup, agave or stevia. Hope you enjoy these refreshing recipes.
FYI both recipes make 2 juices

BREAKFAST: HULK JUICE

INGREDIENT
– 4 celery stalks
– 4 cups of kale
– 2 green apples
– Mint
– 15 green grapes
– ice

INSTRUCTIONS

– Clean all produce
– Juice
– Pour over ice

LUNCH: CUCUMBER GINGER

INGREDIENTS

1 small cucumber
1 cup spinach
1 apple
1 tbsp ginger
1 lime
1 tsbp honey or agave
1 cup coconut water

INSTRUCTIONS

– Clean all produce
– Juice
– Add the juice to coconut water
– Pour over ice

Hoy es mi dia 2 de desintoxicación.  Ayer en vez de 3 jugos solo me tome 2. Fuimos a Santa Mónica con algunos amigos de Honduras y empezamos a caminar por el Promenade Mall y nos detuvimos en un restaurante italiano para  cenar. Como no tenían jugos dije ni modo y me dirigí hacia el bar de ensaladas. Prácticamente la misma cosa.

Para el desayuno Dan y yo nos tomamos un jugo verde. Este tenía kale o col rizada, apio, manzana verde, uvas verdes y menta. Estaba delicioso. Aunque, me hubiera gustado agregar otra manzana para que el sabor a apio no fuera tan fuerte, pero la menta le dio un buen toque y camuflagio el sabor un poco.
Para el almuerzo, tome un jugo de jengibre y pepino. Deliiiii! Y lo mejor es que no sabia a espinaca y ya que había usado toda mi menta para mi primer jugo le agregue miel. Si son veganos (persona que no come productos de animales) puede agregar miel de maple, agave o stevia. Espero que disfruten de estas recetas refrescantes. Buen provecho!

DESAYUNO: JUGO HULK

INGREDIENTES
– 4 tallos de apio
– 4 tazas de col rizada o kale
– 2 manzanas verdes
– menta
– 15 uvas verdes
– hieloINSTRUCCIONES

– Limpiar todas las frutas y verduras
– Ponerlos en el procesador o juicer
– Verter sobre hielo

ALMUERZO: PEPINO Y JENGIBRE

INGREDIENTES1 pepino pequeño
1 taza de espinacas
1 manzana
1 cucharada de jengibre
1 limón
1 cucharada de miel o agave
1 taza de agua de coco

INSTRUCCIONES

– Limpiar todos los productos
– Usar el procesador o el Juicer
– Añadir el jugo de agua de coco
– Verter sobre hielo
